Project OneBox

Educating the community OneBox at a time

What is Project OneBox?

Our first project as Queen’s Glen Student Charity Fund is OneBox, a system of free-to-use ‘community libraries’. These libraries are small cabinets that are open to the public to donate and borrow books for everyone to use. We are starting this project to give people the chance to share their favorite novels and stories with the rest of the community. Project OneBox will help educate and unite communities through reading, a crucial element of education that is fun and something everyone should participate in.

Phase Two: Completed

We would like to thank all the volunteers who joined us on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 to find kind homeowners to host our little libraries. With the help of our 30+ volunteers, we were able to find over 40 homes that were interested in helping us set up libraries around the neighbourhood.

Phase Three: Upcoming

Coming soon... We are awaiting the construction of the little libraries. We will be hosting an event soon to start painting/decorating libraries. We hope to also implement the first OneBox Library!
